About Me

My name is Roy Mitchell, I come from Ireland and like many of my fellow citizens, I love travelling. I lived in Australia, France, and finally, in 2009, I settled in the Czech Republic, in the regional town of Pardubice, where I have been teaching English as a second language ever since.

For the last 14 years, I have taught in companies, local schools, and language schools, and today, I mainly offer private lessons in person and online.
I love helping students to improve their English knowledge, understand how practical and valuable English is in this world, and motivate them to learn more. After all, as the linguist Ludwig Wittgenstein once said, “The limits of your language are the limits of your world.”
