In the summer, I organise a week-long city summer camp for children with the help of my wife, who is also an English teacher. Our main goal is to help the children see that English can be fun, make them realise how important it is in the world today, and motivate them to learn further.
The programme of the camp is focused on natural communication (vocabulary and phrases related to common topics are practised), and combines games, music, sports, and arts and crafts activities throughout the day.
So far, we have successfully held 6 summer camps for children aged between 7 and 12. From 2017 until 2021, the event was held in cooperation with the Regional Library of Pardubice.
